Sunday Children's Church

NO Children's Church this Sunday, September 3, due to communion. It is important that our children be present

during this time and learn about this important ordinance.

On September 10, we will resume Children's Church. We are lowering the age range of children's church to what it was

before COVID, but this will be gradual.

Currently, it is available for children from ages 3 through 5th grade. In January 2024, it will be available for children ages 3 through 4th grade. In May, it will lowered to ages 3 through

3rd grade.

In order to help younger children during the service, extra worship activities will be available.

MAUI WILD FIRES RELIEF

Wild fires have become a life threat in Maui, Hawaii. We pray for those that have lost loved ones as well as property; for the first responders and their families; for the churches that have become the hands and feet of Christ. As brother and sisters in Christ, we are called to solidarity and show our love through support. They ask for our prayers and financial support. Please give generously at: www.cbf.net/hawaii and write “Hawaii fires” in the comment field.

For September, we are still collecting:

FRESH, WRAPPED CANDY (no chocolate and no peanut products)

and

POP-TOP CANNED FOOD ITEMS (ex: ravioli, tuna, beef stew, soup,

fruit, etc.)

Since we are getting close to packing time, we need a certain

number of items to complete each category. Here’s what we need:

15-DEODORANTS;

15-COMBS/BRUSHES;

10-WINTER HATS (gender neutral colors);

3-KIDS SIZED GLOVES (gender neutral colors);

3-ADULT SIZED GLOVES (gender neutral colors)

We also welcome monetary donations to go toward the purchase of backpacks and Bibles. Designate your donation as ‘Backpacks.’

BUDDY BACKPACK MINISTRY

Buddy Backpack is off and running! We will start packing and delivering this month. If anyone is interested in joining our team of volunteers, please call Alice (893-8210) or Ashley (893-4162).

Once again this year, we will be collecting "nab crackers" [either cheese with cheese or cheese with peanut butter].

Feel free to bring your donation to the church during the week or on Sundays.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity. This project runs solely on donations and we feel we will have more children to serve this year.
