From the Appalachian Christmas Outreach program:

“Because of the generous spirit of NC churches, 20,275 backpacks were collected in 2022! Praise the Lord! This ministry continues to make an eternal difference in so many lives! We would love for you and your church to be a part of this meaningful ministry in 2023. Our goal is 21,000 backpacks.”

Memorial Baptist collected 36 backpacks last year, exceeding our initial goal of 24. Thank you again for all of your donations!

We would like to participate in this ministry again this year.

For January and February, we would like to collect warm clothing which includes hats, gloves, scarves and socks.

Deliver your items to the church office during the week or place in the basket on Sunday mornings.

We also welcome monetary donations to go toward the purchase of backpacks and Bibles. Designate your donation as ‘Backpacks.’

Missions Mailbox Update

With the support we received from our church family, we will be able to provide the following for families in need:

alpacas, goats, chickens, ducks, food aid for children in Africa, bed nets for 3 families, help for exploited girls and help for kids with disabilities ($931.00 worth) via World Vision.
