Appalachian Christmas Outreach

We are still working to fill 24 backpacks for our Christmas mission project.

We are collecting different items each month to fill the bags.

For the month of September, we are collecting

Fresh, Wrapped Candy (no chocolate or peanut products) and

FULL SIZED Body Wash, Shampoo and Deodorant.

Please deliver to the church office during the week or place in the

basket in the narthex on Sunday mornings.

BUDDY BACKPACK MINISTRY

Buddy Backpack is off and running! We will start packing and delivering the first Friday in October. If anyone is interested in joining our team of volunteers who pack and deliver, please call Ashley (893-4162) or Alice (893-8210).

This year we will be collecting "nab crackers" [either cheese with cheese or cheese with peanut butter] in place of individual cereals. If you have or still want to contribute cereals they are still needed and appreciated but the cereals have been more difficult to find so we have decided to change to something a bit easier to find.) You may bring to the church and leave in the workroom either in the Buddy Backpack tub or close to it.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity. This project runs solely on donations and I have a feeling we will have more children this year to serve.

Harnett Food Pantry

Collecting for September - - Green Beans

Egg cartons are also appreciated.

You may also make a monetary donation to Memorial Baptist Church and put ‘Food Pantry’ on the memo line.
